Trevor Noah to Host the Grammys for the Final Time in 2026

Trevor Noah is set to return to one of music’s biggest stages as the host of the Grammy Awards, marking a major milestone in his hosting journey. The South African comedian will host the 68th Grammy Awards on 1 February 2026 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. While fans are excited to see him back, the upcoming ceremony will also be a bittersweet moment, as it will be his sixth and final time hosting the prestigious music awards.

Noah has been a familiar and much-loved face at the Grammys since 2021, bringing his sharp humour, global perspective, and genuine love for music to the show. Over the years, he has become a standout host, earning praise from both audiences and industry leaders for his ability to balance comedy with respect for the artists and the moment.

“I am beyond thrilled to welcome Trevor Noah back to host the Grammys for his sixth, and sadly, final time,” Grammys executive producer Ben Winston said, according to the Los Angeles Times. Winston went on to highlight why Noah has been such an important part of the show’s success.

“He’s been the most phenomenal host of the show. He’s so smart, so funny, and such a true fan of the artists and music. His impact on the show has been truly spectacular, and we can’t wait to do it together one last time.”

Although the 41-year-old comedian is preparing to pass the baton after this year’s ceremony, the 2026 Grammys promise to be a memorable send-off. This year’s show is expected to be highly competitive, with Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar leading the nominations with nine apiece. The strong lineup of nominees adds even more excitement to what will already be an emotional night for both Noah and longtime Grammy viewers.

The 68th Grammy Awards will return to the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 1 and will be broadcast live on CBS in the US. The ceremony will also stream on Paramount+ and 1Magic (DStv Channel 103), starting from 2am South African time.

The 2026 ceremony will also mark the end of an era for the Grammys on American television. This year’s show will be the last to air on CBS, which has been the awards’ home network since 1973 in the US. From 2027, the Grammys will begin a new 10-year run with Disney, airing on ABC, Hulu, and Disney+.

With a star-studded nominee list including Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, and Doechii, and Trevor Noah hosting for one final time, the 2026 Grammys are shaping up to be an unforgettable celebration of music and legacy.
