Bad news about driving licence card fees in South Africa

Transport minister Barbara Creecy says the fee for renewing a driving licence card may have to be hiked if the validity period is extended to eight years.

Speaking to Newzroom Afrika, the minister said her department isn’t rushing the process to extend driving licence card validity from five to eight years to avoid “unintended consequences”.
