As the new year begins, many people set fresh resolutions. Some plan to improve their lifestyle, while others focus on upgrading their homes. For TV personality and rapper Nomuzi Mabena, also known as Moozlie, the new year has brought an unexpected home makeover journey. Moozlie recently revealed that she is considering upgrading her bedroom after TikTok users made fun of her for not having a headboard.
The 33-year-old star found herself at the centre of online criticism after she posted a TikTok video where she was lying on her bed and speaking to her followers about an unrelated topic. Instead of listening to her message, many viewers focused on her bedroom setup and quickly noticed that her bed did not have a headboard. This detail became the main topic in the comment section, with users trolling her and questioning her interior décor choices.

The comments became so overwhelming that Moozlie decided to respond. In a follow-up video, she addressed the criticism directly and explained that not having a headboard was a personal and intentional decision. In the caption of the video, she wrote, “You guys are bullies actually.”
Sharing her frustration, Moozlie said, “Do you know what often bores me about TikTok? And it’s specifically TikTok. You guys will miss the point of the video and just make it about something else.” She explained that the trolling had gone too far and that people were focusing on things that had nothing to do with her original message.
Moozlie also reacted to comments suggesting that not having a headboard was unhealthy. “I don’t have it, and someone even commented and said not having a headboard is bad for your head. I don’t have one and there’s an inspiration I wanted to go for that doesn’t include a headboard,” she said.
Despite the negativity, Moozlie revealed that she now plans to make changes to her bedroom. She explained that her vision is to decorate the space with framed GQ magazine covers to celebrate her achievements. “I’m going to do it because I don’t want to trend. I’m not like other people who don’t mind trending. So come with me to get frames and put them up,” she said.
She also clapped back at comments about her bedding, making it clear that the criticism was unnecessary. “Leave me alone with my sheets. My helper is on holiday. It’s January and she was on break. Do you think I will change the sheets with these nails, oh no, my darling. You guys are silly and some of you are talking nonsense, and you don’t even have a bed,” she said.
In a later video, Moozlie shared her search for frames for her pictures. In the caption, she joked, “Come with me to find frames. Probably would have been easier to find a head board.”
