South Africa’s rich and famous love to travel abroad and this festive season was no different, with many taking out their passports for some international travel.
Media personality Somzi Mhlongo jetted out of South Africa, solo this time, for some rest after a hectic gig season. Mhlongo first travelled to the romantic city of Paris before heading to Monte Carlo.
Paris, France, holds memories for Mhlongo after all, it is the city where he proposed to his ex-husband Mohale Motaung in 2018.

Mhlongo popped the question on the famous Pont de l’Archevêché, also known as the “love lock bridge”.
The Metro FM radio presenter shared a video of himself walking on the love lock bridge, joking that he was coming to fetch someone’s spirit, only to go to the padlocks, revealing the inside joke.
Mhlongo enjoyed his solo travels, all the sights and restaurants Paris has to offer. Taking to Instagram, Mhlongo shared a carousel of images and encouraged his followers to take those solo trips.

“Take that solo trip. Meet strangers. Sometimes kiss them. Make new friendships. Ask a stranger to take u a pic. Go have lunch at restaurants coz u saw the Kardashians or LeBron James eating there without even worrying about what the food tastes like.
“Walk to the front row of a line at a club dressed like u belong there and watch them taking u to a table u never booked. And u party like there’s no tomorrow. Take walks till u get lost but safe enough to request an Uber once ur tired.
“Have conversations with yourself about everything and anything. Be in the moment. Money can be replaced. Time can’t be.”
