End of an era for driving licence card delays in South Africa

Nearly 80% of the backlog of renewed driving licence cards that emerged earlier this year due to a three-month breakdown of the country’s only card printer has been cleared.

Progress has also been made with the introduction of a backup card printing machine to ensure continuity in renewals in case of another breakdown.
