Jub Jub was not stabbed in prison. This morning a story broke that convicted singer Jub Jub had been stabbed in the stomach and thighs whilst playing soccer at the prison. Now the Department of Correctional Services has denied the reports.

A ‘source’ had told a local publication that Jub Jub was stabbed with a handmade knife after getting into an argument with another prisoner whilst playing soccer. The reports also said shots were fired and all the prisoners laid down on the ground‚ with their hands over their heads.
The Correctional Services Department Gauteng spokesperson Ofentse Morwane told News24 that the report was “incorrect and extremely misleading”.
“The department has noted with concern these continuously repeated lies that are being carried by certain media houses,” Morwane said.
