His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama has called on all Christians in the country to fast and pray towards the upcoming elections.
The President, this morning, met with the heads of the various churches in Ghana at the Castle, Osu.
The event saw the likes of Rev. Sam Korankye Ankra of the Royal House Chapel, Prophet Christopher Annor of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC-Holy Ghost Temple), Archbishop Duncan Williams of Action Chapel and many more.
Speaking at the event which was dubbed ‘Breakfast Devotion’, President Mahama said even though the country has gone through the elections for five times already, there is the need to still seek the face of God for the upcoming one.
He has therefore fixed December 2, as the fasting day for all Christians to fast and pray for peace and tranquility to prevail in the upcoming election.
He has also scheduled the Friday before the elections, as a day for all Muslims nationwide to pray for peaceful elections.
