AshGold coach Yaw Acheampong has admitted he would lose striker Yakubu Mohammed after the first half of the season.

The 23-year-old is being courted by Tunisian Ligue I side CS Sfaxien and an unnamed Saudi Arabia Pro League side and the Miners are set to lose him when the January transfer window opens.

Yakubu is joint top scorer of the Glo Premier League with five goals from six games.

Acheampong said: “We will lose Yakubu in January so we are making plans to get an equally good replacement for him.”

The Obuase-based side are in second place and are just a point shy of SC Medeama’s 13 points.
