Elderson expected in camp later Tuesday
Only 10 players were involved in the Eagles morning training at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar on Tuesday.
The seven players from the Nigeria Premier League were joined by three foreign-based players, goalkeepers Austin Ejide and Vincent Enyeama as well as Nosa Igiebor, who features for Spanish La Liga side Real Betis.
Austin Ejide was the first overseas-based players to hit the Eagles camp.
Ahmed Musa, Joseph Yobo, Efe Ambrose, Elderson Echiejile, Emmanuel Emenike and Ikechukwu Uche are expected to be in the Eagles camp this afternoon.
“We are expecting a full house by Tuesday afternoon because a lot of the player arrived Lagos in the early hours of today. So, they would be connecting Calabar later in the day,” said the team media officer Ben Alaiya.
Italy-based stars Joel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi and Obiora Nwankwo are also expected to arrive late Tuesday, so also Chelsea winger Victor Moses.
Mikel Obi is held up by a passport hitch and so he is not expected earlier than Wednesday.
