Ahmed Musa rose to the occasion to propel CSKA Moscow to a 2-0 win at Spartak Moscow who paraded Emmanuel Emenike on Sunday.
CSKA are now second on the table with 24 points from 11 games, two points adrift of leaders Anzhi Makhachkala.
The former VVV Venlo of Holland forward scored the opener in the15th minute after he was set up by Keishuke Honda to unsettle the hosts in this Russian Premier League clash.
He went ahead to assist his strike partner Honda for the second goal in the 52nd minute.
An elated Musa told MTNFootball.com he was delighted to have made the difference in one of the biggest games in Russia.

The former hotshot in NPL now has four goals in the Russian league as team’s joint top scorer with Honda.
Emenike, who started the game for Spartak Moscow, was substituted in the 76th minute.
