Dembo Winning Back Fans’ Confidence

Goalkeeper Pa Dembo Touray is winning hearts of fans again after helping to guide Djurgardens to three consecutive victories which put the club on a stronger pillar.

Dembo was subject to shock jeering by his own club fans with the bulk of the club sympathizers heaping the clubs’ misery to his making. His fallout with his home fans was due to unnecessary goals the net-minder conceded in as many games- goals of which he is blamed for.

To add to the raging flame, the Gambia international came under a barrage of criticisms from one of the club’s fans Aldelsohn who doubles as a politician from the Swedish conservative party, thus leading to bitter exchanges between Dembo and the former Stockholm mayor.

But in a recent turn of fortune, Pa Dembo is winning hearts of a section of disgruntled fans after he guided DIF to three victories in sequence.

The former Real De Banjul stopper put up a defying stand against Hacken on Monday to deny them throughout game minutes and was voted the game most valuable player.

After the Hacken game it was merry time for the once relegation-threatened club.

“The whole team feels safe now and we have received a bit of luck on the team. Our games are completely stable now, and if they play so well – hell, then there is nothing you need to do. its simple balls” he said on the night of the merriment.
