Parents have gone to court seeking to compel Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta to allocate money for hiring teachers in this year’s budget.
Their representative Musau Ndunda says treasury did not allocate the 11 billion shillings needed for the recruitment. He says the government needs to hire twenty eight thousand teachers to address the current shortage.
