Rivers Peoples Co-gress, RPC, has called on the opposition candidates in the April governorship election in Akwa Ibom State to drop their cases against Governor Godswill Akpabio in the election tribunal and join hands to move the state forward.

The group in a statement by its leader, Mr. Martins Kunumgbe, said: “Akpabio cannot succeed alone without the good support of his people. Therefore, we call on the oppositions to drop their court cases against the governor.”

They should put the state first before their personal interest because, the tribunal will divert the governor’s attention from implementing his people- oriented policies.”

While commending Akpabio for his numerous projects, the group said it was impressed with the governor’s performance and called on all indigenes of the State to rally round him to implement his policies. The group also charged the governor to continue to give the people of the state a sense of belonging.
