A 20-year-old girl met her untimely death last Wednesday after she allegedly offered her ova eggs for sale at Pro-Vita Specialist Hospital in Tema, Daily Guide has gathered. The deceased, Rosemond Akyen, a resident of Tema Community 6 and a school dropout, was said to have gone to the said hospital, without the knowledge of her parents, to offer her ova eggs for sale at an amount of GH¢1,200, but she allegedly passed away at the said hospital after the operation. These ova eggs were to be harvested and sold to alleged barren women for thousands of Ghana Cedis
Stephen Odong has proved he is not far away from realising his dream of turning professional before the end of this year.
The scratch player carded a defining round of five-under par 66 to bag overall honours at the Orange/Castle Lite June Mug of Mugs in Entebbe at the weekend.
Odong beat his closest challenger Denis Kutesa (h/c 8) by three strokes whereas Henry Lujja picked the Group A men’s Mug with a round of level-par 71.
“I would like to join my brother (Silver Opio )in the paid ranks,” Odong said.
