AKURE – CRISIS in the Ondo State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  deepens over as the Interim Management Committee, IMC, of the party yesterday said former governor of the state ,Dr. Olusegun Agagu remained suspended from the party and lacked locus standi to summon a meeting of the party.

Dr. Agagu called a stakeholders meeting of leaders of the party for tomorrow in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Vanguard gathered that the former governor sent letters to leaders of the party across the state inviting them to attend the meeting with 10 representatives from each of the 18 local government areas of the state.

But the Chairman of the IMC, Prof Olu Agbi, declared the meeting as “illegal and unnecessary”.

Speaking with newsmen, Prof Agbi argued that since Agagu had been suspended by the party’s stakeholders, he lacked locus standi to summon any meeting of the party.
