Luanda — The Council of Ministers of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) member countries opened Monday the preparation works of 15th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the sub-regional organisation taking place in N’djamena, Chad.

At the venue, the Angolan delegation, led by the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto, is integrated by State Secretary of Treasury, Manuel Neto Costa, director for Africa and Middle East of Foreign Affairs Ministry, Joaquim do Espírito Santo, amongst the high ranking officials of State.

During the meeting, the participants will discuss the working programme of the event, the report on the situation in Central African Republic (CAR), the final communiqué project and the working programme.

The ministers will also analyse the information related to the activities performed after the February 2011 Council of Ministers.

Initially scheduled for February 2011, the 15th summit of the Heads of State and Government of ECCAS member countries was postponed for technical grounds.

Founded in 1981, the ECCAS comprises Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic (CAR), Gabon, Congo Brazzaville, DR Congo (RDC), Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome e Principe and Chad.
