Mogadishu — Somalia’s moderate Sufi group of Ahlu Sunna Waljama ASWJ on Thursday spurned to attend Somali government sponsored consultative meeting.
The consultative meeting will be held in the Somali capital Mogadishu 12-16 June.
In an interview with Shabelle Media Network, Sheikh Omar Sheikh Abdulkadir, the chairman of consultation of Ahlu Sunna Waljama said they boycotted the meeting because they were not invited.
He noted that the Mogadishu consultative meeting, which the UN will help financially, will be fruitless.
He didn’t further details about their rejection in the meeting.
