Ondjiva — The director of the culture department in the southern Cunene province, Celestino Vicente, considered on Thursday as necessary in Ondjiva district, further study and research for the valorisation of the national languages, habits and customs in order to retrieve the traditional values in the region.
Speaking to ANGOP on cultural development in the province, Celestino Vicente said that it is essential to valorise and better divulge the habits and customs of the culture of various ethnic groups in the six municipalities of Cunene province.
He stressed that there is a joint effort between the Ministries of Culture and Education in the implementation of the teaching of national language in schools.
