Nairobi — Thousands of wildebeest are already migrating from Serengeti to Maasai Mara in search of pasture, giving rise to the Seventh Wonder of the World.

This has put Kenyan tourism on the world map, attracting thousands of travellers and journalists to see the action firsthand.

This creates a buffet for predators, including crocodiles in the Mara River, big cats, and scavengers.

This marks the beginning of the “high season” in local tourism, mainly characterised by the higher costs of accommodation due to the high demand.

With the rising costs of fuel, the extra expenses are borne by the travellers.

Domestic tourists should not be left out of this spectacle in the wild because of the higher cost of travelling to Maasai Mara as the secret lies in sharing costs.

The cost per person in doubles and triples is less compared to single occupancy in either a luxury tent or lodge.

Always carry your national ID card because citizens enjoy lower park entry fees compared to non-residents.

The following are wildebeest migration shared packages for citizens obtained from Unique Africa Safaris to guide your adventure taste buds.

They are for a minimum of four people and exclusive of park fees.

    2 Days Package Per Person

    Enchoro Wildlife CampSh13,000

    Mara SopaSh16,000

    Keekorok Lodge Sh18,000

    Sarova MaraSh19,000

Verdict: Pool resources as friends and share the travelling and accommodation costs for a better price per person.
