Red Arrows stunned table-topping Zanaco 1-0 Wednesday in a Week 13 MTN/FAZ Super Division tie at the Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

The match was switched to Arrows ground at Nkoloma due to delayed repair works on the perimeter fence at Zanaco’s Sunset Stadium.

Arrows got the winning goal through an Alex Sichone free-kick in the 61st minute.

Zanaco are now three points behind second-placed Arrows on 22 points and 25 points respectively.

However, the honour for top spot belongs to Power Dynamos, who beat hosts Kabwe Warriors 1-0 away at Railway Grounds in Kabwe.

Midfielder Emmanuel Chimpinde found the target in the fourth minute to see the Kitwe giants rise one notch from second to first on 25 points, piping Arrows to that position on a superior goal difference.

And at the Trade Fair Grounds in Ndola, defending league champions Zesco United stunned promoted contenders Nakambala Leopards 3-0.

Goals by Derrick Kabwe, Clifford Chipalo and a Ben Maleka own-goal sealed a vital win for Zesco as their crawl back into the business of defending their crown.

However, despite the win by Fighton Simukonda’s team, Zesco move only a spot up into fifth place on 19 points from nine matches with four games in hand.

Meanwhile, Konkola Blades steady ride up the MTN/FAZ Super Division table continues and they are in third place from fifth on 23 points after a 1-0 away win in Ndola over bottom team Kalewa. Chipulu Chileya was the match winner.

The MTN/FAZ Super Division league will now take a two-week break and resume on July 16 with Week 14 games.
