Representatives of Premier League clubs at a meeting at the Ghana Fa conference room

Premier League clubs have taken delivery of sponsorship money from Globacom Communications Ltd but on re-negotiated terms.

The downward adjustment of the total package was agreed upon by the clubs at a meeting with officials of the Ghana Football Association on Wednesday.

Clubs who have been and are still in the elite division for the past two seasons would receive an amount to the tune of $90,ooo each.

Breakdown:

Clubs that played in the 2009/2010 Premier League season will receive $18,ooo.

The ones involved in the 2010/2011 season will bag $32,ooo while clubs that will play in the 2011/2012 campaign will receive $40,000 including promoted and relegated clubs.

Title sponsors of the league, Globacom have been unable to honour their part of the agreement signed three years ago due to ‘operational difficulties’ but have assured they are very committed to seeing the deal through.
