They want to atone for the disappointment of missing out on a place at the All-Africa Games in Mozambique in September.

Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles dropped two places to the 41st position in the latest FIFA ranking.

In Africa, the Eagles fell to fifth place, behind Cote’d’Ivoire, Ghana, Egypt and Burkina Faso who are ranked 14th, 33rd, 34th and 37th in the world.

The Super Eagles who were ranked 5th best team in the world in 1994 have been inconsistent in form ever since.

Under their current coach, Samson Siasia, the Eagles are yet to lose a match in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers although they are second behind group leaders, Guinea.

Teranga Lions of Senegal slipped three places to 43, the Bafana Bafana of South Africa are in the 47th place while former African champions, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun sit in the 48th position.
