After being spotted at Hamburg‘s training camp, Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma is reported to have put pen to paper on a loan deal with the German club.
Bruma was said to have had his medical examination on Tuesday, and after the official HSV Twitter account released photos of the player in a Hamburg shirt, an official announcement of his transfer appears imminent.
Although neither club has officially confirmed the deal, Deutsche Presse-Agentur have reported that the 19-year-old has agreed to a two-year loan spell with the Bundesliga side.
Assuming he completes his move, Bruma will be the fourth Chelsea player to move to Hamburg during the transfer window, following Michael Mancienne, Gokhan Tore and Jacopo Sala.
The exodus of young talents from the Blues’ reserves comes after sporting director Frank Arnesen left his post at the English club and moved to Hamburg.
