Mogadishu — Somali cabinet ministers on Thursday held a very crucial meeting focusing on the drought that severely affected many parts in the horn of African nation.

The new prime minister, Dr. Abdiweli Mohamed Ali has presided over the cabinet meeting.

At the end of the meeting, the cabinet ministers named ministerial committee which will act quickly to help the drought affected Somalis.

After the meeting, the spokesman of Somali government, Eng. Abdurrahman Omar Osman Yarisow told reporters in Mogadishu that that cabinet agreed assisting the needy Somali people.

The prime minister urged the ministers to redouble their national services smoothly with giving it a fresh impetus, according to the spokesman.
