Luanda — Writer Kanguimbo Ananás recognised on Tuesday in Luanda that the country’s literary market is growing, but it is necessary that institutions stimulate reading in society.
Speaking to ANGOP, she confirmed the existence of a positive evolution, since there is a higher number of published works in the country’s literary market.
“One can already notice new works promoted by young people and others, so I believe the trend is for more books to come out” she commented.
The writer defended that the concerned institutions have to create mechanisms aimed at stimulating reading habit in young people, through lectures and cultural fairs.
Kanguimbo Ananás has so far published seven literary works, such as “A poesia” (Poetry) and “Contos do avô sabalo” (Tales).
