Luanda — The director of Augusto Ngangula maternity hospital, Rosa Bessa Campos, said on Wednesday in Luanda that her unit recorded more than 90 deliveries per day, due to redouble of efforts in human and material means.
She said so to the press at the end of the visit paid by the executive deputy chairman of the US Oil Company of Chevron, Rhonda Zygocki.
Angop learnt that Chevron donated to the referred maternity hospital 1.500 mosquito nets impregnated with insecticide in order to combat malaria.
According to the director, the maternity hospital recorded a high number of cases malaria, anaemia and neonatal infection in pregnant women.
