IBADAN— AN unidentified woman was Wednesday  killed while several others sustained various degrees of injuries after a truck ran into them at Dugbe-Alawo area of Ibadan.

The driver of the truck owned by a soft drink bottling company was said to have lost control following a break failure.
The accident happened around 3pm and attracted sympathizers from the popular Dugbe market.

An eye witness said the casualty would have been more if the driver had not used the truck of another bottling company as a wedge.
Though, they were sympathizing with the woman that lost her life, many traders were thanking God for not allowing the truck to run into the market where a lot of people always transact business.

The driver of the truck who also sustained injuries was rescued by the people and was said to have been taken to the University College Hospital for treatment.

The accident caused a heavy traffic onas the road was completely blocked by the truck.
