Congoloese-born Frenchmen Steven Mouyokolo has completed a season-long loan move to Ligue 1 club Sochaux after struggling to secure a regular role at Wolves.
The loan move, which gives Sochaux the option to secure the defender on a permanent basis at the end of the season, will be the French club’s second signing of the summer following the arrival of midfielder Sebastien Roudet.
A statement on Sochaux’s official website read: “Mouyokolo committed to the club this morning after a meeting and successfully completed his medical. The central defender, who turned 24 on January 24, is on loan with an option to buy.”
The move marks the defender’s second switch in two years having moved to Molineux from Hull last summer.
Only a few years ago, Mouyokolo was highly sought after following impressive campaigns with French sides Gueugnon and Boulogne.
