Chief Justice Georgina Theodora WoodRecent threats on the life of the Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Wood has caused a Legal experts to express worry about the safety of future Chief Justices.

Constitutional Lawyer, Kwame Boateng, says the threats are dangerous and a security threat against not only against the Chief Justice but against high office holders in the country including the President.

A group calling itself Network of Social Democrats gave a fourteen-day ultimatum to Justice Georgina Theodora Wood to resign or she would be forced out.

Lawyer Boateng says recent demonstrations by various youth groups against the President on his Tamale tour, against her ladyship at the premises of the Supreme Court and others were in the full glare of the Police but nothing was done about it.

He says although Ghana is encouraged to promote its young democracy, it is gradually endorsing lawlessness in the process.

He stated that Ghana may lose all its Justices if their lives are not well protected. He has therefore challenged various stake holders especially President Mills who is in charge of the Ghana Armed Forces to sit up against these threats to ensure that they do not continue.
