David Venn

The former Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana, Mr. David Venn has been appointed the new CEO of Augere Holdings BV, a broadband providing company based in the Netherlands.

Mr. Venn, who replaces Sanjiv Ahuja as CEO, will be based in Dubai, UAE, according to a statement from Augere on June 27, 2011.

“David brings extensive telecommunications and emerging market experience to this role, having worked in the telecommunications sector for almost 30 years”, the company said.

David was once the CEO of Celtel Zambia where he helped the company to a successful flotation on the Zambian Stock Exchange.

Commenting, Sanjiv,  the Executive Chairman of Augere said in the statement “I would like to welcome David to the Augere team and I am certain his extensive experience in telecommunications and emerging markets, along with his strong leadership will help Augere to move on to the next level.

The company also provides WiMAX networks.
