    Porto-Amboim — At least 25 traditional midwives of Capolo in the central Kwanza Sul province ended on Tuesday a training aimed for the betterment of their activities.

    During 20 days, the participants learnt about public health, early pregnancy, hygiene, basic sanitation, maternal and infant assistance so as to perform safely their tasks in different rural areas.

    To improve their performance, the traditional midwives benefited from working tools.

    In a message, the midwives thanked the attendance of the training, they hopes that it reflects on the reduction of maternal and infant mortality in the communities.

    From January to June, the traditional midwives performed 130 deliveries.
