Dar Es Salaam — A sense of jubilation clouded the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (Duce) when the institute held its first staff sports bonanza over on Saturday.
Duce, a constituent college of the University of Dar es Salaam, held the bonanza to mark the 50th anniversary of the parent university.
Various sports activities were held such as 100m race for men and women, sack race, soccer, rope skipping, three legged race, egg on spoon race, and chicken chasing. Salome Misana, the principal at Duce hailed the bonanza saying that such sports activities were crucial at forging closer relationships among workers.
“We should uphold this spirit,” Misana who actively took part in the sack race and egg on spoon race said.
