The agent of Queens Park Rangers striker Rob Hulse has moved to rubbish rumours that the stiker is looking to leave Loftus Road over the summer.

The former Derby man is expected to be way down the pecking order in Neil Warnock’s squad after the Hoops were promoted to the Premier League, but is not bowing out yet.

His agent, Matt Buck, told Press Association Sport: “There was an inquiry to QPR and there was an inquiry to Rob to see what his thoughts were on it.

“Basically he wants to go back pre-season and try to prove himself to the coaching staff and people at QPR that he warrants a place in the Premier League 25-man squad, and hopefully the Premier League matchday squad.

“Rob is not even considering temporary moves at the moment. With Millwall if the situation changes we told them we would keep them informed like anybody else.

“But his whole 100% focus is to get back, work hard in pre-season, work hard in the friendly games and prove he is worth that place.”

Hulse arrived at QPR from Derby County at the beginning of last season – signing a three-year contract – and after two years of relative success in Derbyshire, his first year at Loftus Road left a lot to be desired.

He joined up with his former manager from his days at Sheffield United, Neil Warnock, and although he tasted promotion to the Premier League once again, he only made 12 starts in the league with a further appearances coming from the bench and he only registered two goals.
