Udinese forward Alexis Sanchez has issued a rallying call to his club to accept a bid from Barcelona as he is not interested in playing in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old has given the Italians an ultimatum over his transfer as he only wants to move to the European champions.
Quoted by El Mundo Deportivo, Sanchez demanded: “Either it’s Barcelona or I will stay at Udinese.”
Sanchez has been clear and vociferous over his desires, but Udinese have been distracted by a late surge from English side Manchester City.
They are said to have bid almost £36 million plus £4.5m in bonuses, with Barcelona offering only around £35m.
Last week Gino Pozzo, son of Udinese owner Giampaolo, claimed Barcelona were ahead in the race, but his player had no preference as to where he would like to play.
But the latest signals from Chile, where Sanchez is currently preparing for the Copa America, suggest he does have a preference.
He is currently tied to the Italians until 2014 after joining them from Cobreloa in 2006.
