Gambian youngster Joe Sise could be set for more playing time with embattled Swedish Allsvenskan side Halmstad BK with the departure of three Spanish players to parent club Real Madrid.

The 20-year-old Swedish born Gambian youngster was a permanent fixture for Halmstad in the previous two seasons but the arrival of the Spanish players has affected his development this season as he spends more time on the bench than on the pitch in the opening 13 rounds of the campaign. But soon the Spanish players will return back after they were recalled back by the Spanish powerhouse and are set to depart Sweden as early as Thursday which will likely see Sise get more involve from the start by head coach Pep Clotet Ruiz.

“We are going back during the week. Real Madrid wants us to go back to Spain. We might come back, maybe not. I do not know” one of the players Raul Ruiz, 21, told the Swedish press. Two Spanish players in the shapes of goalkeeper Nauzet Perez and midfielder Ivan Diaz already left the club in May after they had their contracts rescinded by Halmstad and now the three remaining Spanish acquisitions, Raúl Ruiz, Javi Hernandez and Jose Zamora will be following their counterparts back to the Iberian Peninsula.

“The loan agreement with Real Madrid expires on Thursday, and the Spanish club has call back the players” writes Swedish publication Hallandsposten. “The reason is that Real is aiming to get the club Castile (reserve team) back to the Spanish second division.” Their arrival was met with a lot of fanfare but now of the six Spaniards that arrived at Halmstad at the beginning of the season only head coach Pep Clotet Ruiz will remain at a club that is currently in trouble in the league. The club has made efforts to keep the trio which proved futile and Monday night’s match against Helsingborg will become the last time they will put on HBK’s shirt.

“Real Madrid wants to have their players back home and that means that they (the players) will be leaving Halmstad in the week. It is all in accordance with the agreement we have with Real” the club director Michael Kaller said.
