Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will look to continue the re-building process at Stamford Bridge by appointing Michael Emenalo as the clubs new sporting director, according to reports.

The move would mean two promotions for the Nigerian in the last 12 months, after spending his first three years as an scout at the London based club before being promoted mid-way through last season to first team coach, following the departure of Ray Wilkins.

The Daily Mail reports that Nigerian’s move up the ladder – replacing Frank Arnesen – will allow for new manager, Andre Villas-Boas, to establish his backroom staff within at the club, following his arrival from Porto.
