Luanda — The ruling MPLA party’s politburo analysed on Friday in Luanda various issues related to the internal affairs of the party and the country’s governance, during its 2nd extraordinary meeting presided over by the Angolan head of State José Eduardo dos Santos.
According to a press note, which reached Angop on Friday, the politburo analysed the bill on the methodology for the public discussion of the draft law on Penal Code, as well as the bill on timing and schedule for the drafting Codes and Legal Diplomas related to justice reform.
MPLA also analysed the adjustment bills to the Organic Law on general elections, Law on Electoral Registration and Law on Electoral Observation.
The ruling party’s politburo learnt about the proposal on the approval of the political and administrative division of Luanda, as well as information on the visit of the Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos to the eastern Kuando Kubango province and the measures adopted for the solution of the assessed problems.
MPLA recommended the Secretariat of the politburo to continue to work in the actualisation of the managing board of the party on the principle and procedures of relations between the party and the state institutions.
The ruling party’s politburo approved the budget for the celebrations of the 55th anniversary of MPLA, to be marked on 10 December 2011, under the motto “MPLA 55 years for Angola and Angolans”.
