Luanda — The extraordinary solemn session of the National Assembly, under the four-day visit of the East Timorese President, José Manuel Ramos-Horta, to Angola started about 12H25 p.m with the playing of the national anthems of both countries.
Ramos-Horta was accompanied by officials of his government and office.
During his arrival, the Timorese Head of State was welcomed by the Speaker of the Angolan parliament, António Paulo Kassoma, and he passed the reviewing stand of the Guard of Honour.
José Ramos Horta learnt about the maquette of the new building of the National Assembly and pace of the construction works that started in October 2010.
The works are expected to be concluded in 2013.
