Following the lifting of the prohibition restraining the NEC from delineating electoral district boundaries, the National Elections Commission (NEC)re-commenced public consultation for the exercise and will be completing said exercise on June 25th 2011.
Following the completion of the public consultations with local and traditional authorities, the commission will meet with the National Legislature, political parties, civil society organizations and other stakeholders for further consultation on the Provisional Electoral Boundary Delineation.
Meanwhile, the NEC Board of Commissioners will review all inputs made during the nationwide public consultations and come up with the Final Electoral District Boundaries by July 8, 2011.
