Wa All Stars will play giants Kotoko in the semifinal of the MTN Ghana FA Cup next month.

This comes after All Stars clinched a place in the last four of the competition after defeating Medeama SC 3-1 on the quarter final on Sunday.

The match will be played in Accra on 10 July.

The winner of the match will play second-tier side Nania FC in the final.

It is the first time All Stars have reached this stage of the competition in their history.

Kotoko are hoping their teeming supporters in Accra will boost them to win the game to send them into the final of the revived competition.

Meanwhile, Ghana champions Berekum Chelsea will clash with giants Kotoko this year’s edition of the President’s Cup this week.

The match will be played on Friday 1 July at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), organisers of the one-off match, chose the two sides to compete in the annual match.

The game is played annually to commemorate the anniversary of Ghana’s Republic status, which is marked on July 1 every year.

This will be the third time that the two sides will be meeting in this season.

Chelsea emerged winners of the last two meetings in the Premier League.

Alhaji Raji, Interim GHALCA chairman, announced that Ghana president John Evans Atta Mills will be the Special Guest of Honour for the match.

The match will be preceded by a curtain-raiser between Members of Ghana’s Parliament and GHALCA.
