Luanda — The country’s only daily newspaper “Jornal de Angola” has played an important role in ensuring the plurality of information and education of citizens, especially in more remote areas of the country, said Saturday in Luanda the minister of Mass Media, Carolina Cerqueira.
According to minister, who was speaking at the commemorative act of the 35th anniversary of the public printing press company Edições Novembro, which publishes the mentioned newspaper, Jornal de Angola has helped to ensure contact of people with modernity and progress that the country experiences at this stage national reconstruction, plural information transmitted through the organ.
Carolina Cerqueira said that media professionals are an important bridge between citizens and the political power, so the national press are playing a historical role that follows the development of Angola, which will certainly result in a future that is expected to be of progress, development, prosperity and social justice.
Jornal de Angola, with 24 pages, is a generalist journal that addresses issues of political, economic, cultural, sports, religious interest and other topics.
