The inhabitants of Tio have extended over 70,000 Nakfas and 42 thousand in material assistance to the nationals demobilized due to the recent volcanic activities around Sireru, Southern Denkel.
On the occasion, the inhabitants said that it is one of the cherished values of the Eritrean people to provide assistance to fellow nationals who have fallen on hard times.
Meanwhile, the inhabitabts of Edi have also pledged material and financial assistance to nationals demobilized due to the eruption.
It is to be recalled that nationals who have been demobilized as a result of the volcanic activities around Sireru have been moved to a safer location and are being taken care of through the provision of basic necessities by the government.
