Viewing of second president of the Republic of Zambia Frederick Chiluba’s body starts today at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre.
According to the programme released yesterday, family members would arrive at the centre at 0900 hours, followed by service chiefs 10 minutes later before senior Government officials, diplomats, political party leaders, deputy ministers and Cabinet minister at 0920 hours.
The speaker of the National Assembly, the chief justice and first president of the Republic of Zambia Kenneth Kaunda will arrive at 0930hours, followed by foreign dignitaries and their representatives.
President Rupiah Banda and First Lady Thandiwe will arrive at 0950 ahead of the cortege from St Ann Funeral Parlour when the National Anthem would be played by the brass band.
An opening prayer will be offered by Zambia Airforce( ZAF) chapline Moffat Nyambe, followed by hymns from the defence and security choir.
President Banda and the first lady will view the body at 1010 hours, followed by assembled dignitaries and family members, while members of the public will view the body from 1130 hours to 1800 hours.
The body viewing will continue tomorrow from 0600 hours to 1800 hours ahead of burial on Monday at the Embassy Park.
Dr Chiluba died on Saturday last week at his Kabulonga home.
