Luanda — A children’s soccer tournament dubbed “Daimler Cup 2011” will be disputed Saturday at Cidadela stadium, in Luanda, in a periodic organisation of OlympAfrica Network Centre, ANGOP learnt Thursday in a press conference.
According to Angola Olympic Committee (COA)’s secretary-general, Mário Rosa, the tournament aims at making the activity a growing value of programmes for the occupation of free times, integral and sports training.
With the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Luanda Provincial Department of Education and COA, the children’s competition has also the objective of discovering, updating and promoting identified young talents in competitions, besides encouraging regular exercises.
About 600 youths of schools from nine districts of Luanda province will participate in the sports event.
