Garbaharey — The situation returns to wobbly calm in the town of Garbaharey, the regional capital of Gedo region after heavy battle between Somalia government forces and Al shabaab fighters.
Yhe fighting on Saturday night erupted after Al shabaab fighters launched artillery attacks on Somali forces based centers just outside of Garbaharey.
Somali troops reportedly responded with heavy artillery bombardments against their attacking enemies.
Residents said Sunday morning that calm returned to the town completely, but fighting is predictable anytime.
No comments bout the fighting and repercussions were immediately available from Somali government and Al shabaab so far.
