For all the latest reports and transfer rumours, visit our dedicated section hereTottenham Hotspur midfielder Wilson Palacios is the latest transfer target of big spending Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.
The Ligue 1 side’s Qatari shareholders held negotiations with representatives of the north London side but a deal is yet to have been agreed.
According to French publication L’Equipe, Palacios is now PSG’s primary target to replace Claude Makelele who retired at the end of last season.
Antoine Kombouare’s side have also reportedly cooled their interest in previous target Blaise Matuidi, who was also viewed as a replacement for the legendary defensive midfielder.
Palacios only made 26 appearances for Tottenham last season despite a strong run in their debut season of the Champions League and is believed to have grown frustrated with his lack of action.
His contract runs until 2014 and with Tottenham paying £12m for his services back in 2009, Harry Redknapp’s club will look to recuperate the majority of that money if a deal is to be agreed.
