Nairobi — The son of former Starehe MP Gerishon Kirima died in a road accident Friday morning.

Mr Samuel Ndei Kirima vehicle rammed into a lorry on Waiyaki Way at 2.30 am, according to police reports.

Police say they believe he was driving to his Lavington home from Westlands at the time of the accident.

He was driving a Toyota Hilux double-cabin and was heading in the same direction as the lorry. The vehicles were towed to the Parklands Police Station.

Mr Kirima, who was a real estate developer, was the only surviving son of the elder Kirima’s wife Teresia Wairimu.

The Kirima family has been involved in a long running battle for the control of the patriarch’s vast estate.

Mr Kirima died in December last year while undergoing treatment in South Africa.
