23 June 2011 Luanda — The Cultural Movement "Faz Culturagrupo de percurssão" will perform Saturday at fund-raising show, comprising clothes and toys to be donated to the Association of Support to Abandoned Children (AACA), based in Maianga district (Luanda). Speaking Thursday to Angop, Janica Barbosa, one of the members integrating the group, said that the selection of AACA by the group follows various visits paid to the hospitals and sheltering centres

A gang of street urchins has this evening attacked and smeared with human excrement, protesters who’ve been keeping vigil at Jogoo house demanding for Education Minister Sam Ongeri’s resignation.

One of the leaders Okoiti Omtatah suspects the gang has been hired to harass them in their protest. They however vow to continue with their protest every day until Ongeri steps down over the loss of 4.2 billion shillings meant for education programs.
