Angola: Petro Vs 1º De Agosto Highlight of Handball Championship’s First Round

23 June 2011 Luanda — The 21st edition of the Unified National Cycling Championship (senior, junior and below categories), to happen on 23-26 June, will be disputed in four stages by representatives of ten provinces, ANGOP learnt on Tuesday from an official source. According to a note from the Angolan Cycling Federation (FACI), the tournament will be disputed by representatives from the provinces of Luanda, Bengo, Benguela, Huíla, Uíge, Kwanza Sul, Lunda Norte, Namibe, Huambo and Kuando Kubango. The competition kicks off on with the individual time trial contest of 27 kilometres.

Luanda — The game between Petro de Luanda, title holders, and 1º de Agosto, vice champions, is the main highlight of the first round of the national senior females handball championship, which will be disputed from 26 June to 08 July, in Luanda’s Cidadela Pavilion.

According to the draw held last Tuesday, in the premises of the Handball Federation (FAA), the competition will be disputed in the play-off system.

The other first-round games are Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) versus Marítimo de Benguela and Electro do Lobito versus Ferroviário.
