The Role:
The Logistics Manager reports to the Managing Director and is responsible for the movement and distribution of goods, services and other inventories through the integration of information, transportation, inventory management, warehousing, material handling, and packaging. He is also responsible for the security of items in his charge and must put in adequate safety and protection measures

• Develop and implement the processes involved in the supply chain, liaising with a variety of parties including suppliers of materials, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
• Coordination of processes to ensure customer satisfaction based on an awareness of and strategic response to external influences, such as legislation, fuel costs and environmental pressures
• Ensure the distribution of items through appropriate transportation, stock control, warehousing, and putting structures in place to monitor the flow of foods and materials
• Use appropriate information and communications technology in forecasting increasingly complex systems of stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and performance evaluation

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in the field of business administration, management, industrial technology, or industrial engineering
• Must have strong leadership ability
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Minimum of 6 years experience in logistics management of which 3 years should be in a supervisory role
• Working knowledge of logistics management information systems, MS Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint
